grilled cheese + tomato/avocado

we’ve all had variations of grilled cheese with tomato soup – it’s an american classic after all! my variation has to include tomato and avocado though. it’s one of my all-time favorite pearings. i’ll put tomato and avocado on just about anything. but dipped in piping hot tomato soup sounded that much more delish.

we used rye bread and asiago, mozzarella and a mix of shredded cheddar cheese. odd, but yummy. the boy also attempted to make a broccoli and cheese mixture. (we won’t get into that soupy mess).

it was the perfect dinner to have with milk and while watching modern family. (who else loves that show!?)
