Shelby’s wedding – Part 2 wine tasting

Okayyyy – ready for round two of Shelby’s wedding extravaganza?

Part 2: Wine tasting tour!

We devoured that cheese! The boy was sweet and bought some for the group to have. πŸ™‚ It was a port wine cheese (suiting for the occasion) and peared amazingly with the wines.

I need to take a photo break and say that bread on the right was the best bread ever. There was melted brie inside and the crust was garlic-y! We all couldn’t even breathe we were inhaling it so fast. And the boy bought a frozen one for us to bring home and have too. I mean, who could say no to this face? (Caught in action by my good friend Danielle….).

Moving right along…

Don’t you just love Shelby’s dress! Gorgeous bride. πŸ™‚ Lunch was a delicious portobello caprese sandwich with salad on the side!! πŸ™‚ Delish!

That concludes our winery tour, and I’m really craving a glass now! I really wish I could explain how all the wines tasted and which ones I liked the best, but let’s be honest, after about 10 glasses, they all start tasting the same. There were some good ones though. One particularly had with some chocolate chips!!

I do remember the wineries we went to though:

1. Bella Vista Winery: This is the place with the chocolate chip/wine combination. They had some great Sirah’s here – and some good Port Wine cheese.

2. Maurice Car’re & Van Roekel Winery: Sourdough bread with brie. That’s all that needs to be said about this place.

3. Mount Palamar Winery: This is where we had lunch and people kept giving us their extra tasting tickets. ‘Twas a special ending to the day. We may or may not have had a champagne chugging session on the way to leave.

Check out Part 1 here.

Can’t wait to share Part 3 in our adventures. That will come tomorrow! πŸ™‚ I’m off to finish some work stuff, then head over to an East Valley Rotaract meeting at Four Peaks Brewery. Come join us at 6:30 p.m. if you’re interested in joining or just mingling.
