Perfectley Peared Bite: Red onion, apple, gouda

Hi strangers! It’s been a super hectic two weeks for me so super sorry for the lack of posts. I have been cooking a lot though (baked ziti, veggie tortilla soup) and I’ll try getting these recipes up as soon as possible!

Today’s perfectley peared bite was hands down the best panini I’ve ever had. I’m actually debating about making it tonight. Although I don’t have any crusty sourdough bread. 😦

The flavors of the carmelized red onion, apple and gouda was impeccable. I carmelized the onions not with butter, but with a little brown sugar. It added a great sweetness without all the fat. I also added some sliced pears, which just added to the whole savory/sweet angle.
