Nutella pizza

Good morning! It’s finally Friday. What fun things do you have planned for this weekend? We plan to go see Silver Linings Playbook, attend my friend Lisa’s holiday party, getting in a run (should be 55 degrees Sunday!), and I plan to make this eggplant parmesan.

Nutella pizza

Yes, you did read that right: Nutella pizza. It’s probably one of the best pearings I’ve had in a long while.

Last weekend, we went to a pizza party and had a bunch of great appetizers, pizza, and the dessert Nutella pizza.

This is how Italian’s do their appetizer platters.

Meat, cheese, peppers and olives. And they do the good cheese and meat. Most appetizer platters on the west coast are crackers and processed deli meat and cheese.

The couple hosting the party made the sauce and picked up dough from a local pizzeria, Pizza 2000. They told us that you can get dough from any pizzeria. I was so shocked and happy to hear that. We use dough a lot making breakfast pizza or grilled pizza, so this was a great tip.

Here is pizza with fresh sauce (or gravy here on the east coast), mozzarella, and basil.

And for the finale….

The pizza dough was baked first and then powdered sugar was sprinkled on, the Nutella spread, and sliced strawberries were placed on top.

The pizza was still hot so the Nutella melted and became gooey. 🙂

Then, a second dessert pizza was made with peanut butter, Nutella, and strawberries. This made me one happy girl. It more amazing than I could have ever imagined. I’m still drooling.

So, I highly recommend this little post-pizza making treat. 🙂

Have an amazing weekend!
